Between playing gigs with The Roots, performing with the hip-hop house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and recording with John Legend, Douglas has a full dance card these days. However, he was able to take time out of his busy schedule to stop by Gibson's New York City Showroom and discuss Wake Up (the new Roots/John Legend collaboration), talk about how he joined The Roots and tell the story of how he got his first Gibson guitar as a gift from Living Colour legend Vernon Reid.
